Terms & Conditions

This document covers the terms and conditions of travel with Arafura Aviation opertaing under Mistar Holdings Pty Ltd. The conditions apply equally to charters directly booked by the passengers or through a travel agency or government department. This document may not be comprehensive hence please check with Operations Manager of Arafura Aviation for any clarifications.

Booking and Confirmation

  • Bookings Charter flights can be booked by email, website enquiries or over the phone. Passengers or agents booking the flight will need to provide essential information regarding names, passenger and cargo weight, contact details, type of aircraft required and date of travel.

  • Confirmations The flights will be confirmed by email or over the phone. The details of the flight will be provided via booking confirmation. No ticket will be issued.

  • Weight Limits The maximum permissible weight on each flight will be intimated via booking confirmation. This weight limit will not be exceeded under any circumstances. Passengers must ensure that the total weight of passengers and baggage remains under the intimated limits

Check In

We request passengers be at appointed check in place at least 30 minutes prior to departure. Delays caused by late check in may result in your flight being rescheduled or cancelled. Charges may apply. Check in location for all flights will be mentioned on the booking confirmation. Check in for remote location will be at the appointed landing strip/airport

Dangerous Goods

No dangerous goods as mentioned by Civil Aviation Safety Authority will be permitted. Please CLICK HERE to see examples of dangerous goods. In case of doubt kindly check with Operations Manager of Arafura Aviation.

Delays and Rescheduling

The flights may get delayed for reasons given below:

  • Weather, especially during the monsoon season

  • Late arrival/ check in of passengers

  • Technical delays due to air traffic control or unscheduled maintenance issues

  • Any other delay not explained or included above


Arafura Aviation will accept reasonable /manageable delays on account of late arrival of passengers. No charges for this delay will usually apply. Any inordinate/ unexplained delay on part of the passenger which is difficult to be accommodated may result in cancellation of flight and charges may apply.


Arafura Aviation and passengers/ booking agents acknowledge that delays may occur, and Arafura Aviation will not be liable for any resultant financial loss.


Arafura Aviation may at its sole discretion cancel, amend or delay a flight even after a confirmation has been provided. Arafura Aviation will however make all efforts to minimize delays, amendments or cancellations. Passengers will be kept fully informed of any such delays, amendments or cancellations. All refunds will be handled as per refund policy given in subsequent paragraphs.


If aircraft and passengers on board are required to stay overnight in a location other than the intended final destination, due to weather, any financial costs incurred for accommodation and meals for passengers is at the expense of the client. Arafura Aviation is not liable for such costs except for the expense for the pilot.

Cancellations and Refunds

Arafura Aviation aims to provide a flexible responsive charter service however cancellations and changes may occur.

  • Passengers must inform Arafura Aviation at the earliest possible opportunity about any changes or cancellations.

  • Cancellations must be made at least two business days prior to scheduled departure. Any cancellations made after this time will incur charges as given subsequently.

  • Cancellations made prior to two business days to the departure date will receive full refund

  • Cancellations made prior to one business day to the departure date will receive 50% refund

  • Cancellations made on the day of departure will be charged in full and no refund will be provided

  • All refunds will be provided at the discretion of Arafura Aviation

  • Flights which have departed for pick up at any location and subsequently cancelled or passengers do not show will be charged at full charter price.
